The latest

I have received an email about taking dentist and doctors to Reunion Island. Sadly, they can go but are unable to do their practice there. This is the exact reason "The dentist thing won't work out unfortunatly. We'd love to do it but there are legal implications here since it is a social medical system." So, I am sad, BUT God is in control and He knows what is needed the most in Reunion, and we will have the Faith that everything will pan out to be perfect! Just wanted to update! Thanks for checking us out! Pray hard!

Chosen Vessel

The Master was searching for a vessel to use;
Before Him were many,
Which one would He choose?

"Take me," cried the gold one,
"I'm shiny and bright,
I'm of great value and I do things just right.
My beauty and radiance will outshine the rest,
And for someone like you, Master,
Gold would be best."

The Master passed on with no word at all,
And looked at a silver urn narrow and tall.
"I'll be on your table whenever you dine.
My lines are so graceful,
My carvings true,
And silver will always complement you."

Unheeding, the Master passed on to the brass,
Wide-mouthed and shallow and polished like glass.
"Here! Here" Cried the vessel, "I know I will do,
Place me on your table for all men to view."
"Look at me," called the goblet of crystal so clear,
"My transparency shows my contents so dear.
Though fragile, am I, I will serve you with pride.
And I'm sure I'll be happy in your house to abide."

The Master came next to a vessel of wood,
Polished and carved, it solidly stood.
"You may use me, dear Master,"
The wooden bowl said,
"But I'd rather you used me for fruit, not bread."

Then the Master looked down and saw a vessel of clay,
Empty and broken it helplessly lay.
No hope had the vessel
That the Master might choose
To cleanse, and make whole, to fill, and to use.

"Ah! This is the vessel I've been hoping to find,
I'll mend it and use it and make it all mine.
I need not the vessel with pride of itself,
Nor one that is big-mouthed and shallow and loud,
Nor one that displays his contents so proud.
Not the one that thinks he can do all things just right,
But this plain, earthly vessel, filled with My power and might."

The gently He lifted the vessel of clay,
Mended and cleansed it, and filled it that day;
Spoke to it kindly- "There's work you will do-
Just pour out to others, as I pour into you."

Amazing Answer

I have been praying and hoping that God would open up a door for me and Dusty to be able to lead a mission team to Africa. I went on a mission trip to Johanesburg, South Africa in December of 2006, and truly left a bit of my heart there. I loved it so much. Now, after almost two years, my prayers have been answered. I emailed one of the missionaries that I worked with while I was in Africa to see of the possibility of returning some day and they responded with "We are very excited that you feel called to come do volunteer work here. You see we were praying about requesting people to do a short trip out here and when you wrote that was such a blessing to us!". It still amazes me to hear people talk about and doubt the God that knows all, and whose timing is perfect. So I say all that to try and express how excited I am that we will be Reunion Island, Africa bound March of next year (2009). Dusty and I are praying about who God wants on this trip, please feel free to pray along beside us as we prepare ourselves, also pray that God would begin preparing the people in Reunion that we will come in contact with. To God be all the Glory!!!
