Well today is Christmas day! So Merry Christmas everyone!! I must say that I am seriously stressed out today. I have been waiting and waiting on our friends to get their tickets but they have not gotten any money. So because of our waiting I have let the price of our tickets go up 200 dollars. I am at a lost as to what I am supposed to do. I could just scream. I hate pressure like this. So please pray that I would have a peace about everthing

Wishful
Do you ever wish you could figure God out? Or do you wish that the plan God has was clearer? I know I do, especially now. We, as most of you know, have already bought our plan tickets to Paris (which is our half way point) but we were waiting on Brad and Emily in order to purchase our connecting flight. Well, when I first started looking at the connecting flights they were about 1200 well while having to wait they went down to 876.00... but they have now gone back up to 1,022.00. Please pray that we will be able to purchase the tickets soon, and that the price will go down. I love each and every one of you. KEEP PRAYING!!!

Up-date
Whoever says there is no God is crazy and lost beyond all measure. God has been revealing Himself to not only me but to others in our small group. As for Emily and Brad Bibb (the last two that were added) they have really been experiencing God first hand. When Dusty and I first started beginning to get this trip together I felt Emily was supposed to go but when I asked her if she would be interested in going she said, "it sounds fun but I just don't feel as though I am supposed to go"... after much praying, God laid it on her heart to go with us. Not only did He lay this Reunion Mission trip on her heart He has also laid Missions in general on her heart. Praise the Lord. God is amazing and is doing great things and will continue to do great things throughout our trip and even after. Sean and Jessica Reagan (the missionaries) felt God laid it on them to support us in coming to Reunion to be with them. NEVER in all my mission trips has anyone sent money back to the States to help us get there. God is so great!
As of now, we are going to purchase our tickets from Paris to St. Denis on December 15th (hopefully). Brad and Emily have a long way to go in raising money but we have a God that is capable of doing anything.
PRAYER REQUEST:
*Please pray that God would send money for Brad and Emily
*Pray that God would prepare the hearts of the people we will come in contact with
*Please pray that we will be in HIS will only with all of our doings, here and there.
*Pray for Sean and Jessica along with their two beautiful children.
Thank you so much for your support and love. We could never thank you all enough!
Love, Rebecca

As of today, we are waiting on our "add in" members to receive their money so they can buy their plane tickets with ours. So please pray hard they will get it soon. I spoke with Jessica (the mississionary) the other day and she said to pray that they would find a church to worship in and with. Other than that we are at a waiting period and that is what we will do... Wait.

And then there were 6...
God is amazing... when we first started out on this journey to prepare for Reunion Island we had about 13 people that were going. Then we fell down to Dusty and I with one other couple. Well, we were okay with that. Because it says "where two or more are gathered, in the mist of them I will be". So, the other day a friend from Tennessee called and said that God had laid it on her heart that she was supposed to go with us to Reunion Island... what a joy it will be to have her along beside us. We are now preparing for a group of 6. This is so exciting, and it is amazing to see Christ work in His time not ours. Please keep her in your prayers for she is just now beginnning to raise money to be able to go with us. We are at cruch time with getting money together for her. So please get on your knees and pray for her and the rest of the group. Thanks so much for all your support! We love each of you dearly...

Waiting sometimes is so HARD
We are still praying that God will continue to send support letters our way. We have not received any letters in about 2 weeks. We are not troubled by this though because we know that God is in control of it all. Please continue to pray for us as we are seeking Christ's will for our lives. We have purchased our half-way point tickets... we just need our destination tickets now. PRAY, PRAY, PRAY!! We love you!

Prayer Request
Please pray that God would supply us with the money we need soon, so we can purchase our plane tickets before the price goes any higher. We have sent out several support letters but we have not received many back. Please pray that God would give me a peace about His perfect timing. Also, pray that God will bind Satan from this trip and that our team members will see that it is Satan that is working negatively and that Satan wants to win this trip. Pray that Dusty and I will be able to accomplish the task that we need to before the deadline.Thank you so much for your prayers they are greatly appreciated!

Finally Finished
We had our yardsale yesterday at Columbus Fairgrounds. It went pretty good! We began setting it up on Friday evening around 6:30 p.m. and at 4 a.m. we decided that we should try to rest for a little bit before 6 a.m. (Al, my father in law, took their camper out there so we would have somewhere to stay.) Well needless to say at 5:15 I got woke up by noise coming from outside, I looked out the camper and to my "What in the world are they thinking" there were about 5 people out there looking at our yardsale items with a flash light. WHAT!?!?!?! I was really loving my sleep, but oh well! We stayed steady all day until a little after 2. I mean we were truly steady ALL day, Praise the Lord! We were able to raise $1,142.00 which is good for yesterday. I am not sure as to what we will be doing next to raise money but we have a LONG way to go. Thanks to everyone that gave or bought! We really appreciate everything. If you were not able to give for the yardsale nor come to the yardsale and would like to donate money for our trip please contact me through email and let me know. My email address is rdw@muw.edu
Thanks, Rebecca

Update
Ok... where to being? Well, lets just say that things are really picking up and so much needs done that I have no idea as to where to begin. We had our first "real" team meeting this past Sunday! We had 8 commit to go with us and we have about 6 or 7 that are still praying what the Lord wants them to do. We are steadily trying to get yard sale items together and ready for next weekend. This past weekend we priced everything we have already received (again thanks if you have donated). What a chore that was. We will be heading to visit in Tennessee this weekend just to pick up more items! PRAISE JESUS! We are so excited about the yard sale. Please pray that it would be successful and that the weather would be beautiful! I pray that you are doing great! Remember we love you!

God is so Faithful!
WOW!!! Is really all I have to say right now. We are collecting items for a yard sale to raise money for our mission trip and we have had an overwhelming response from several of our friends. I will try and post pictures soon of everything we have received so far. I am so excited about the yard sale, what excites me the most is that I have been working on it for about 2 weeks now, and that is amazing for me, because I am the worlds worst procrastinator. Praise God this is one thing I am not procrastinating on! I have spoke with the owner of the Columbus Fairgrounds and he said our date will be on October 11th! I will keep you posted on how well it goes! Thanks for visiting this site, and keep us in your prayers! God Bless!!!

Well, lately we have been extremely busy. We had some previous exchange students come stay with us for a week. We had a wonderful visit with them. Now, we are planning planning planning for Reunion Island. Please keep us in your prayers. There is so much to be done and we have no idea as to where we should start. Dusty started this past week with leading a Bible study for high school seniors. He said it went really well. He is very excited about this opportunity. I have been doing school! And that is a job in itself. This semester has been the best so far. I love everything about it. We are doing great, and love you. If you would like to come visit we would love for you too.
Africa-France it's the same right?
For a while I thought that Reunion was apart of Africa... it's NOT!! haha So for all of you who thought Africa because I thought Africa are wrong, sorry. It's a part of France! God is doing amazing things already for this trip. Please keep praying!

The latest
I have received an email about taking dentist and doctors to Reunion Island. Sadly, they can go but are unable to do their practice there. This is the exact reason "The dentist thing won't work out unfortunatly. We'd love to do it but there are legal implications here since it is a social medical system." So, I am sad, BUT God is in control and He knows what is needed the most in Reunion, and we will have the Faith that everything will pan out to be perfect! Just wanted to update! Thanks for checking us out! Pray hard!

Chosen Vessel
The Master was searching for a vessel to use;
Before Him were many,
Which one would He choose?
"Take me," cried the gold one,
"I'm shiny and bright,
I'm of great value and I do things just right.
My beauty and radiance will outshine the rest,
And for someone like you, Master,
Gold would be best."
The Master passed on with no word at all,
And looked at a silver urn narrow and tall.
"I'll be on your table whenever you dine.
My lines are so graceful,
My carvings true,
And silver will always complement you."
Unheeding, the Master passed on to the brass,
Wide-mouthed and shallow and polished like glass.
"Here! Here" Cried the vessel, "I know I will do,
Place me on your table for all men to view."
"Look at me," called the goblet of crystal so clear,
"My transparency shows my contents so dear.
Though fragile, am I, I will serve you with pride.
And I'm sure I'll be happy in your house to abide."
The Master came next to a vessel of wood,
Polished and carved, it solidly stood.
"You may use me, dear Master,"
The wooden bowl said,
"But I'd rather you used me for fruit, not bread."
Then the Master looked down and saw a vessel of clay,
Empty and broken it helplessly lay.
No hope had the vessel
That the Master might choose
To cleanse, and make whole, to fill, and to use.
"Ah! This is the vessel I've been hoping to find,
I'll mend it and use it and make it all mine.
I need not the vessel with pride of itself,
Nor one that is big-mouthed and shallow and loud,
Nor one that displays his contents so proud.
Not the one that thinks he can do all things just right,
But this plain, earthly vessel, filled with My power and might."
The gently He lifted the vessel of clay,
Mended and cleansed it, and filled it that day;
Spoke to it kindly- "There's work you will do-
Just pour out to others, as I pour into you."

Amazing Answer
I have been praying and hoping that God would open up a door for me and Dusty to be able to lead a mission team to Africa. I went on a mission trip to Johanesburg, South Africa in December of 2006, and truly left a bit of my heart there. I loved it so much. Now, after almost two years, my prayers have been answered. I emailed one of the missionaries that I worked with while I was in Africa to see of the possibility of returning some day and they responded with "We are very excited that you feel called to come do volunteer work here. You see we were praying about requesting people to do a short trip out here and when you wrote that was such a blessing to us!". It still amazes me to hear people talk about and doubt the God that knows all, and whose timing is perfect. So I say all that to try and express how excited I am that we will be Reunion Island, Africa bound March of next year (2009). Dusty and I are praying about who God wants on this trip, please feel free to pray along beside us as we prepare ourselves, also pray that God would begin preparing the people in Reunion that we will come in contact with. To God be all the Glory!!!
